Animatronic Shows
Classic pizza entertainment characters, rare stage shows, and nostalgic robotic performances.
Step back into the era of singing animatronic bands, character stages, and family entertainment that defined pizza parlors and arcades in the 1980s.
The Golden Age Of Pizza Entertainment
Before screens took over, animatronic characters brought music, comedy, and personality to family restaurants.
This collection features rare animatronic shows from Chuck E. Cheese, ShowBiz Pizza, and Enchanted Forest, including The King, King Kat, The Four Little Shavers, The Beagles, The Pirates, and the Rock-afire Explosion.
Robotic Characters With Real Stage Presence
These shows were built to entertain crowds with music, movement, jokes, and larger-than-life personalities.
In the 1980s, animatronic shows became a huge part of pizza restaurant entertainment. Families could eat, play games, and watch robotic characters perform on stage like a live band. Today, many of these shows have disappeared, been removed, or destroyed, making working examples increasingly rare. At Volo Museum, most animatronic shows run daily, while the Rock-afire Explosion is featured seasonally as one of the collection’s most popular performances.
