General Questions
What's the difference between a Platinum Pass and a Gold Pass?
Both the Gold Pass and Platinum Pass include admission to Volo Museum and Jurassic Gardens, and both include a free next-day visit.
The Platinum Pass also includes the Titanic exhibit and Crime and Punishment.
What does it cost to visit?
We offer various options ranging from our all-access Platinum ticket to individual park tickets for those with specific interests or limited time. You can view our options HERE. Both Platinum and Gold tickets are valid for two consecutive days of admission. All other tickets are for single-day admission. Our annual pass is our best value. For $10 more, on any ticket, you get a full year of free admission! All tickets are valid for one year after the date of purchase.
Do we need to purchase our tickets in advance?
Volo Museum highly suggests pre-purchasing tickets online, but tickets are also available onsite upon arrival. Some exhibits may have limited attendance and require a wait if not pre-purchased. Tickets can be used at any time within one year of the purchase date.
How long are tickets good for?
All general admission tickets are valid for one-time use and can be used any time up to one year from the date of purchase.
Can I combine multiple discount codes or coupons?
You cannot combine online codes and/or discount codes. However, we will accept the discount of the highest value among the available options.
Do you participate in the Museums for All program?
We are unable to participate in Museums for All or offer discounts for SNAP recipients because we are a self-funded attraction and do not receive government grants or funding that support these programs. However, we do offer discounted admission through many local libraries’ Museum Adventure Pass program, and we also run promotions listed in the EVENTS section of our website.
How long does it take to visit?
Typically, people spend an average of 3.5 hours in the Volo Museum, 1.15 hours in Jurassic Gardens, and 45 minutes in Titanic. You can also spend several hours exploring the Volo Antique Malls located on the property. It’s recommended to allocate time for lunch, shopping, and treats at Grams Central Station or enjoy a round of mini-golf at Jurassic Jens mini-golf in Jurassic Gardens. Both Platinum and Gold TICKETS are valid for two consecutive days of admission. All other tickets are for single-day admission.
Are the attractions indoors?
The majority of our attractions are indoors, in both heated and air-conditioned showrooms, consisting of several buildings in close proximity, though you will have to quickly step outside to enter the next showroom. We also have many outdoor areas to enjoy in favorable weather, including mini-golf, playgrounds, and groomed seating areas in our Rock-afire courtyard.
Is every exhibit and attraction on your website available at all times?
Everything listed on our website is part of the VoloFun.com experience; however, some displays are seasonal and may be closed due to weather, maintenance, or repair. If you are coming for a specific display, please CONTACT US prior to your visit for verification.
How do I know if the Rock-afire Explosion Show is playing?
Rock-afire Explosion typically performs daily from the first Saturday in June through Labor Day, then weekends only in fall and spring as weather allows. The Event Calendar shows the planned schedule, but weather can still delay or cancel performances—even on listed days. Located in the RAE Courtyard next to Munchin’ Junction and the Carousel, it’s included with the Platinum Pass, Gold Pass, and Volo Museum ticket. Shows are from 11am – 4:30pm and run approximately every 15 – 30 minutes.
What is the dress code at Volo Museum?
We are a family-oriented facility and want all our guests to feel comfortable and welcome. Proper attire, including shirts and shoes, is required at all times. Our parks offer a casual environment meant to be enjoyed by families, and maintaining that atmosphere is a key part of the Volo experience. We ask that guests use discretion and common sense when choosing their attire. Volo reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any individual wearing clothing that is considered inappropriate or disruptive to other guests’ enjoyment. This includes, but is not limited to, clothing with offensive language or graphics, and attire that reveals excessive portions of the body that may not be suitable for a family setting.
I am interested in purchasing a car, do I have to pay admission?
If you’re interested in purchasing a car, you can visit our sales website volocars.com/auto-sales to view our inventory. If you see a car that interests you, you can CONTACT US to make an appointment with a salesperson to waive the admission fee. If you simply want to browse the cars for sale, you would be subject to the admission fee, but that fee would be refunded if you purchase a car.
Do you allow strollers?
We do allow strollers or wagons up to 31 inches wide and 52 inches long and have installed automatic door openers on the majority of our doors to accommodate strollers and wagons.
Is the facility accessible for people with disabilities?
Due to the age and nature of the property, we are mostly handicap accessible. We have handicap-accessible bathrooms, but not all bathrooms are accessible to people with disabilities. We have added automatic door openers to all of our pathway doors. Some outdoor terrain can have challenging inclines and declines. All exhibits can be viewed, but some exhibit features may not be fully accessible. We do rent wheelchairs and mobility scooters, ranging from $10 to $45 per day. You can reserve a wheelchair or scooter online HERE.
Are you open year-round? What are your hours?
Yes—we’re open year-round. Our typical hours are daily from 10 AM–5 PM. Hours may change for holidays or special events. We’re closed on Christmas Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving, and we close at 3 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Volo Museum Specific FAQ
Are there only cars in the museum?
While we are world-famous for our pristine classic car collection, Volo Museum offers MUCH more. Included with a general admission ticket, guests can see not only collector cars, but also one of the largest collections of memorable movie cars, an authentic carousel and world music pavillion, a new snow machine exhibit, a Rock-afire Explosion animatronic show, a Disney gallery, plus vintage RVs, campers, tractors, scooters, bikes, animatronics, boats, kiddie rides, vintage arcades, trains, and more. With the Platinum pass, guests have access to our Jurassic Gardens, Titanic Museum, immersive Military Combat Museum, and Crime and Punishment Side Show. With a Gold pass or standard tickets, those attractions can be added for an additional fee.
Are your movie cars real?
The majority of our movie cars are screen or production-used, or studio replicas.
Can we ride your carousel and Kiddieland ferris wheel?
The carousel will be available for rides on a seasonal basis or when it is operational. It is a century old, and sometimes fixing it is both costly and difficult to find parts. Due to state safety regulations, our Kiddieland Ferris Wheel is for display only.
What is the Crime and Punishment Side Show, and is it suitable for all ages?
The Crime and Punishment Side Show is a combination of artifacts and vehicles that represent the gangster crime era, along with a collection of medieval torture devices. Parental Guidance is suggested for children under 12 years old. The cost for the Crime and Punishment Side Show is two tokens ($2), but it is included with the Platinum Pass.
What is the Military Combat Zone, and is it suitable for all ages?
Our Military Combat Zone/Museum is one of our oldest and largest exhibits. It is suitable for all ages. You will see elaborate displays and action scenes from various periods throughout our history, a vast collection of authentic artifacts, an interactive theater, and an impressive array of military vehicles, including half-tracks, fully loaded Humvees, and even an atomic bomb. The entry cost is free for all active and inactive military, included with the Platinum pass, Gold Pass and Volo Museum ticket. There are some heart pounding audio and visual effects, so we caution those with sensory sensitivities.
Can you sit in or touch the cars?
All classic cars for sale and exhibit cars are displayed for viewing only. Classic cars can be sat in if a sales associate accompanies you and you are seriously considering purchasing the vehicle. Guests can sit in the Flintmobile and Indy race car for photo opportunities.
Jurassic Gardens Specific FAQ
Is Jurassic Gardens suitable for people with sensitivities?
Jurassic Gardens is a thrilling experience with moving dinosaurs, dark spaces, and loud noises. We recommend that those with noise sensitivity bring ear protection. Earplugs are available for purchase in our gift shop. We also recommend visiting us during Sensory Sunday, which is the 3rd Sunday of every month from 10 AM to 12 PM. During this time, the sounds and movements are off, and the lights are on, providing a more sensory-friendly experience.
Do you have any interactive displays?
Yes, we have several interactive displays, including a token-operated triceratops that kids can ride, a large fossil dig pit where guests can uncover dinosaur skeletons, a lookout tower, an interactive video sand table, a station to pan for gems or fossils, and a raptor arcade full of games and a vintage immersive Jurassic Park video game.
When is your mini-golf open?
Our mini-golf course is open year-round, pending inclement weather.
Where are the live reptiles located, how much does it cost to see them, and how long will they be on display?
Our live reptile exhibit is courtesy of Scale World Order, a permanent display located inside Jurassic Gardens, situated at the back of the building. The live reptile exhibit is free with the Platinum Pass, Gold Pass, or regular Jurassic Gardens admission. It is not included with admission to the Volo Museum or the Titanic Museum.
Are we able to touch or hold any of the reptiles?
During regular hours, the live reptiles are not available to be touched or held due to the safety of both the retiles and the visitors. However, every second Sunday of the month, Scale World Order hosts a reptile meet and greet from 12am-3pm. You are able to touch and hold many of the reptiles under the supervision of Scale World Order. The live reptiles may also appear at other special events throughout the year. Check our Event Calendar for more details.
Titanic Museum Specific FAQ
How long will the Titanic Exhibit be on display?
Our Titanic exhibit is a permanent display and will be open the same hours as Volo Museum, daily from 10am-5pm.
Do I need to pre-purchase my tickets?
We highly recommend that you pre-purchase your tickets, as we limit sales to 30 tickets per hour to ensure that we do not oversell and compromise the intended experience of the exhibit. Pre-purchasing tickets reserves your time slot and gives you the option of choosing when you want to see the exhibit, rather than what is available.
Why am I given a time slot when I purchased my ticket?
You’re assigned a Titanic entry time to help manage crowds and create the best, no-rush experience. You may enter anytime during your scheduled hour and stay as long as you’d like.
What is the best way to enjoy the exhibit?
Slow down. Stop. Read and watch the materials. Years of research went into finding the most interesting, heartbreaking, and fascinating facts about this historic tragedy. The signs and videos are educational, thought-provoking, and emotional. The more time you spend taking it all in, the more value you will get out of your admission.
Is it suitable for young children?
While we invite all guests to experience the Titanic exhibition, it is an exhibit that pays respect to those who have perished, and we ask that all visitors be quiet and respectful. Much of the exhibit focuses on reading and reflection, so younger children may become bored and disrupt the peace and the intended experience for the rest of the guests.
Can I re-enter the exhibit after leaving?
No. Admission to the Titanic Museum only allows entry during your scheduled time slot. You cannot re-enter it at a later time or on a different day.
Is the exhibit wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes. The Volo Museum offers wheelchair and mobility scooter rentals, and they can be reserved online in advance here:

Most of the museum is handicap accessible, and all buildings are equipped with automatic door openers. However, because some of our historic buildings date back as far as 1848, there are a few limitations.
We do have handicap-accessible restrooms, though not every restroom on the property is handicap accessible. All exhibits can be enjoyed, but a small number of displays—such as viewing the interiors of certain train exhibits—require stairs for more in-depth access.
Please note that our outdoor property is naturally hilly, and some areas include uneven surfaces. We recommend mobility assistance for guests who may need it to comfortably explore the full grounds.
