The First All-New Rock-afire Explosion Show in More Than 30 Years

It was what they performed.
Volo Museum debuted the first professionally produced all-new Rock-afire Explosion show in more than 30 years. That distinction matters.
This was not simply the band being programmed to move along with an existing song. It was not a fan-made tribute, a short musical experiment, or characters singing over borrowed recorded music. This was a full new production created from scratch by Creative Engineering, the original creators of the Rock-afire Explosion.
The project took nearly two years to complete and brought together many of the original musicians and voices connected to the Rock-afire legacy. The music and vocals were performed live in a professional studio, creating a true new Rock-afire show tape in the tradition of the original productions.
Adding even more history to the project, the recording took place on a Los Angeles sound stage with its own legendary connection to music history—the same sound stage where Prince recorded Purple Rain, using the same piano Prince played.
The finished production is a roughly 13-minute mash-up of songs created specifically for the Volo Museum brand. It was built as a complete show experience, with original performance, music, vocals, programming, and creative direction.
For fans who understand the history of the Rock-afire Explosion, this was a milestone moment.
For the first time in more than three decades, Creative Engineering had produced a full new Rock-afire show from the ground up.
Aaron Fechter Takes Center Stage
One of the biggest highlights of the day was the presence of Rock-afire creator Aaron Fechter.
